Prof. Giacomo Patrizi (University "La Sapienza" Rome, Italy, Chair of the WG on DDM ) The theme for the sixth workshop is extending the theme of DDM V on supply chain management (SCM) to "Financial Control". As last time, again contributions originated in stochastic multi-stage programming, hierarchical production planning, multi-agent systems, agency theory, contract theory, and auction theory are most welcome. In particular in addition to SCM the extended theme should encourage those working in modern management accounting and the management of financial intermediaries.
L' Università di Roma "La Sapienza" is the largest University in Europe and among the largest in the World. On its main Campus, which was inaugurated in 1935 and which is within walking distance to the city centre and the ancient monuments, there are 21 faculties, many research institutes as well as some important Museums. The great number of students and researchers make this a lively cultural (academic) place, for which it is well worth coming to the 'eternal city'.
The
Department of Probability, Statistics and Applied Statistics is the major department of the Faculty of Statistics which offers degrees at all levels and presents five Ph.D. degree courses. The members of the department are researchers in Probability, Statistics, Social Statistics, Informatics, Operations Research, Management Sciences and Marketing.
All sessions
are plenary, with 30 minutes allowed for each presentation, and an additional
30 minutes for plenary discussion of the paper. The plenary discussion is started
by an appointed discussant. Participants can take part as a presenter, a discussant
or be a general participant. Full papers need to be available 4 weeks in advance
of the workshop in electronic form and will be made available to each participant.
For conference participants, lunches on Friday and Saturday as well as the coffee breaks and dinners on Thursday and Saturday are included.
